In early 2008, the cvba Dijledal organised a competition for the renovation of two residential blocks, Lolanden 14, 16, 18 and 20 in Kessel-Lo (Louvain), at said location Lolanden. The existing residential blocks were demolished (not undertaken by Vanderstraeten) to make way for the new development.
It concerns 2 housing blocks on 1 through underground parking area. The ground floor in block 1 accommodates a community centre with a social restaurant, childcare and a few other social amenities. The siting and implementation of the buildings was carried out in full compliance with the urban development study and the GG-RUP and the ambition to provide a quality and sustainable living environment.
